8. इस धार्मिक सीरियल के सभी एपीसोड की शूटिंग ‘उमरगाव’ स्टूडियो की गई थी! जो मुंबई से लगभग 16 किलो मीटर की दूरी पर था! जो स्पेशल इस सीरियल के शूटिंग के लिये ही किराये पर लिया गया था!

9. क्या आप जानते हैं कि रामायण की शूटिंग लगातार 550 से ज्यादा दिनों तक चली थी। कई बार जब जूनियर कलाकारों की कमी पड़ जाती थी तो गांव-गांव जाकर ढोल नगाड़ों के साथ घोषणा की जाती थी। रामायण दूरदर्शन पर प्रसारित होने वाला पहला ऐसा सीरियल था, जिसमें स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स जैसे- पुष्पक विमान का उड़ना और हनुमान जी का संजीवनी बूटी लाना आदि का इस्तेमाल किया गया था। इन स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स ने सीरियल में जान डाल दी थी।

Deepika Chikhalia (Sita) currently works as the marketing head in her husband Hemant Topiwala’s cosmetic company. Ramanand Sagar died on 12 December 2005.
